Entrepreneurs Cary Yen and Jacky Hsieh had just purchased an existing aesthetic clinic and were looking to rebrand it and make it their own. They had decided on “Marshmallow” as the name for the clinic, as it had a significant meaning to the couple.

THE CHALLENGE

Cary and Jacky understood the need to give their business the right foundation for it to succeed. As a start-up clinic with minimal knowledge of the business side of the medical aesthetics industry, the new owners of Marshmallow skin centre needed professional assistance in getting the right return on investment (ROI) on their newly acquired clinic.

THE COUNSEL

Building & Capital Acquisition

Chobee brokered the purchase of the Marshmallow clinic, finalizing the purchase in just under 30 days. After deciding on its branding /design plan, we also created a detailed business plan to enable Cary and Jacky to secure the necessary loans needed to transform their newly acquired clinic into marshmallow.

Branding

We agreed that the best branding option for Marshmallow would be a “light and sweet” personality to let their patients know that aesthetic treatments can actually be fun to come in for. Our design team did a splendid job of bringing this theme to life both on screen and on paper.

Transition

The previous clinic which Cary and Jacky purchased did not have an in-house doctor. There was also a lot of upgrading needed as the previous owners of the clinic operated an outdated, paper-based booking system. Chobee introduced Marshmallow to Injector Express; a program that links experienced doctors with clinics, as an experienced doctor would definitely increase sales for the clinic. Next, Chobee’s development team transferred the booking, payment and follow-up marketing process to Marshmallow’s website. Our design team also created a “First timer” page on the site to educate new patients on what to expect at the new Marshmallow clinic. We ensured that this transition process was smooth for all existing staff and patients.

Outcomes

Chobee ensured that Marshmallow was able to secure $150,000 in bank loans for renovations. Within two months of contacting Chobee, all preparations for the transition to Marshmallow were completed and the clinic officially launched on June 6th, 2019.
